Now I don’t know if you fully understand the magnitude of this story. Did you know the story actually ends with poor Humpty never being put back together again?

Your story of success begins with your purpose… which is the reason for which something is done or created or for which something exists.
Your purpose arises from your special gifts and sets you apart from other people.
So, why do you exist? Most people understand they do what they do because it fulfills a need or desire. You may have heard of the great Simon Sinek, author of Start with WHY.
Your WHY is your purpose. I love starting with your why BUT let’s truly dive into what that means.
Stop for a moment and think about WHAT it is that you do.
Everyone can tell us what they do…
Describe the products or services, a function of your work.
Realtors: “Help you buy and sell homes.”
Engineers: “Help you design and build bridges.”
Publishers: “Help you release best sellers.”
You get WHAT it is that they do.
Sinek takes you from “what” you do to “how” you do what you do.
Some can tell you how they do what they do. The HOW Communicates how someone or a company is different or better from another.
But the most important part of your business is your WHY…
Truth be told, very few people can clearly articulate why they do what they do. The WHY is the vision, purpose, cause or belief in your organization or an individual’s life.
Why do you get up in the morning…so you don’t die in bed. I am just not sure that is a great reason.
Why is vital in a vision driven busn and life. Vision driven anything is the only way to truly achieve success!
WHY does that matter to you?…Some of you are the CEO, COO, CFO and Full time cook and bottle washer in your current business.
Your WHY or your purpose is a proven system that breeds success, loyalty, growth, staying power and profit margins.
Most go from the clearest WHAT to the fuzziest WHY.
People buy your why, whether they are new clients, a referral or returning clients. You must determine and communicate your purpose.
Most share their tangible features and benefits to build a rational argument for WHY their company, product or idea is better than another.
All attempts to convince someone of a difference or a superior value…
But that is not what inspiring leaders and organizations do.
Every one of them, No matter the size or industry…thinking, acting and communicating from the inside out is the key to growth and success.
Developing a vision driven business /organization is imperative to your greatest success.
The WHY keeps you from being lumped in with all the others. It is about not needing to convince anyone you are better; it is a level of communication that speaks for itself.
The question you need to ask is WHY did you start doing WHAT we’re doing in the first place.
COMMIT to your WHY…get really good at your why.
How do we move from a fuzzy why or purpose to clarity?
Start by asking a few very important questions:
What can I do that feels important?
Most of the time people search for their purpose with massive initiatives. World peace, world hunger, global warming, trafficking, and other lofty goals. The problem is most get overwhelmed and disconnected from this purpose.
So, let’s reverse engineer our way to your purpose:
Whether you have a sense of purpose or not, you will start by getting curious about what is important to you. Then determine, what are you willing to tolerate or sacrifice?
Everything involves some sort of sacrifice. In all that you do there is some sort of cost. Nothing is pleasurable or wonderful all of the time.
So, the question becomes: what struggle or sacrifice are you willing to tolerate?
Ultimately, what determines our stick-to-itness is our ability to handle the rough patches and ride out the inevitable crappy days.
For example, If you want to be a brilliant entrepreneur, but you can’t handle failure, then you’re not going to make it far. If you want to be a professional actor, but you aren’t willing to see your work rejected hundreds, if not thousands of times, then you’re done before you start. If you want to be a corporate lawyer, but can’t stand the 80-hour workweeks, then I’ve got bad news for you.
This will help, look at what you get lost in for hours on end. What do you love doing?
Here is the biggest mistake most make in determining their purpose. What most people don’t understand is that passion is the result of action, not the cause of it.
Action is based on your purpose not the rewards of the action. I have experienced endless numbers of people doing something in order to get a result…but they don’t even love what they are doing.
Success in your life and business is based on the love of your purpose.
Yes, it can feel risky. What if you fail?
What if you let people down? What if you let yourself down?
You would not have a purpose if the roadmap to achieve that purpose was not already at your fingertips. The only reason people do not live on purpose is they have an underlying fear or belief about themselves.

I realize most of you have never faced a bear and I hope you never do. But We all have bears in our life. We all have fears that keep us from action and keep us small or stuck.
I believe that in facing our fears we can discover freedom. Because on the other side of fear IS freedom.
I used to face life from a stance of inaction, fear, anxiety, and staying small.
Now I take BIG action, face and tackle my fears, know how to cope with my anxieties, and play a BIG game in life and business!
